17 fatalities occurred as a result of a recent Missouri amphibious boating accident. The passengers aboard the boat, which belonged to a tour company, were not required to wear life jackets as per state laws. At the time of the incident, there was a severe thunderstorm warning. The tour company, Ripley Entertainment, will possibly face lawsuits as a result of the tragedy.
