Uber may be liable for the actions of one of it’s drivers. Uber did not terminate a driver that committed a sexual assault and allowed the driver to repeat the offense. Negligent hiring has been a problem plaguing the platform for some time now, but negligent retention has been more rare. It may prove difficult for Uber to dodge liability in this instance.
